Natural Resources and Environment Management

Natural resources management and the impact it has on the earth’s environment is a serious cause in the contemporary world. Natural resources include elements like air, water, atmosphere and wind, but the term can also describe physical resources like coal, fossil fuels, and rocks. The forest, the oceans and the solar power, along with the animals that populate Earth can also be included in the wide range of natural resources that are indispensable for sustaining human life on the planet.

Natural resources management involves calculating costs and risks about how the quality of life will be for future generations. Environment management is about calculating how much the world can afford to spend when it comes to natural resources. Natural resources and the environment are two concepts that are closely linked with the idea of sustainable development, a principle that should be at the root of every environmental governance initiative in the world. People, political groups, non-profit agencies, governments should think about sustainable initiatives when they consume natural resources.

Natural resources management can also refer to technological developments that will enable the present generation to consume fewer resources. Technological advancements should focus on limitless resources like solar power and wind power and how people can still live in an industrialized society, but without consuming the world’s finite resources. Mining, petroleum extracting, hunting, fishing are all activities that involve natural resources that will end someday. Natural resources management is about how we can stop the fast consumerism of finite resources and replace them with resources that are limitless. Natural resources also include animal species that are on the edge of extinction. People should stop hunting animals that are rare and focus on conservation policies that will prevent extinction. The environment is the most precious thing that the humans have and take for granted. That is why it should be protected with the help of natural resources management.
